Yield Management of Knowledge for Industry + FAQs
I decided to share this slightly edited version of a diagram that was part of a presentation we recently completed for an industry leading organization. Based on feedback this may be the most easily understandable graphic we’ve produced to date in communicating the Kyield enterprise system. As part of the same project we published a new FAQs page on our web site that may be of interest. Most of my writing over the past several months has been in private tailored papers and presentations related to our pilot and partner programs. Read More

From the trenches: on tech analysts and software patents
On analyzing technology and software patents…..One of the most destructive messages our culture broadcasts is that anything that cannot be reduced to 140 characters shouldn’t move forward. If that were true, most important technology companies wouldn’t exist……. Many large software companies, software developers, venture capitalists, and academics have publicly denounced intellectual property rights for software and processes. While each of the common arguments have valid points, and I do believe we need foundational reform in IP, part of which is reflected in Kyield, I see a much higher probability of technical innovation providing solutions to these challenges than our current political system. Background of patent #8005778
I am working on multiple articles relating to the patent I was issued last week, at least one of which should be posted here in the next few days, but in the interim I thought some might be interested in the common English part of the patent. I hadn’t visited this portion in some time–this was written in early 2006. Read More
